Kindle 3 shipping updates - Sunday, 5th September 2010

UK:
After fantastic news of a 25,000 unit order due to arrive yesterday everything seems to have crawled to a halt in the UK. Not one single change in dispatch notices happened over the weekend and it is still unclear whether Amazon has received the order that they were anticipating yesterday and are busy readying orders for dispatch tomorrow or whether they have simply not yet received their shipment. The former would have supposedly sent out a mass changing of shipping statuses but this has not yet happened, leading me to believe that either the 25,000 unit shipment was just a rumour or that the shipment has been delayed.

This unfortunately doesn't leave much hope to those who ordered up to August 19th who are due to have their orders shipped by September 10th (this Friday).

Latest orders last shipped Friday, 3rd September 2010 for orders made up to 9th August.

Meanwhile in the US the story is very different...

US:

All kindles: Last shipped Friday, 3rd September 2010 for orders placed up to August 19th 2010.
Delivery expected: Wednesday 8th September (Monday is Labour Day, to ship Tuesday).
(UPDATE: Some orders placed August 12th are now moving to the "shipping soon" status)
